Remodeling Your Kitchen? 3 Types Of Kitchen Cabinets You Can Choose From

If you are remodeling your kitchen, you should consider replacing the cabinets. The cabinets are often the main focus of a kitchen and can make a big difference in the way it looks. When it comes to kitchen cabinets there are different types available, three of which are listed below.

Shaker Kitchen Cabinets

Shaker cabinets go well with just about any type of kitchen. These cabinets have stiles, which are vertical pieces on each side, and rails, which are horizontal pieces on the bottom and the top of the cabinet. The middle panel is recessed. This makes these cabinets look simple but also beautiful. These cabinets are popular with many homeowners, so you should not have any problems finding them.

You may also find Shaker cabinets are less expensive than other types available, but they are still high-quality cabinets. This does depend on the type of wood used, however. With this cabinet, the most common wood used is solid hardwood, maple, birch, or pine. Solid hardwood is the most expensive option.

Glass Front Kitchen Cabinets

There are also kitchen cabinets that have a glass front including the upper and the lower cabinets. You could also choose to have only the upper cabinets with a glass front. To make the glass durable, choose glass that has two or more panes.

When you walk into a kitchen with glass front cabinets, they are instantly noticed. You can showcase beautiful dishes and other items inside the cabinet. You can display things like ceramics and glassware as they will be more protected in a glass front cabinet when compared to open shelving. If your kitchen does not have enough windows and is often dark, you can install lights inside the cabinet. You can also paint the interior of the cabinet or use another type of design.

Flat Front Kitchen Cabinets

If you have a modern kitchen or like the minimalist look, you will like flat front cabinets. These cabinets do not have panels or any type of framing. This makes these cabinets easier to clean when compared to other types. You can choose the hardware you want to use when it comes to the handles, knobs, etc.

Flat front cabinets are often made of MDF or one piece of plywood. You can cover the cabinets with a wood veneer if you like the wood look. You can also paint the cabinets any color you want so they go well with your kitchen. These cabinets are the most budget-friendly option.

They get to work with their hands and see the results of their work at every step along the way. If you've been feeling that very human urge to build something, then you might want to learn more about construction work and consider entering the industry yourself.
